The Uhlsport Hellenic League programme looks set to be decimated by the freezing weather conditions on Staurday, but one or two clubs are hopeful of playing.
Kidlington’s ground at Yarnton Road has a covering of snow, but with the forecast looking better for the weekend, the club hope to clear the pitch in time to host Carterton in the Premier Division.
Hellenic League administration secretary Angela King said: “Obviously the prospects aren’t great, but no decisions will be made until Saturday when there will be pitch inspections.
“Nothing has been called off at the moment.”
Witney United have signed midfielder Nick Jones from fellow Premier Division side Fairford Town.
Jones, 26, played his early football in the USA, and since his return to the UK has had spells at Bishops Cleeve, Shortwood, Westfields and Cheltenham Saracens.
Witney are scheduled to visit Oxford City Nomads.
Vinny Byfield and Sean McKeon will return, while Jones is set for his debut.
Meanwhile, their Oxfordshire Senior Cup tie with Marston Saints, which was postponed on Tuesday, has now been rescheduled for next Tuesday at Marriotts Stadium, meaning their league clash with Reading Town will be re-arranged.
In Division 1 West, Headington Amateurs are set to host Bicester Town, but the chances of the match going ahead are very slim.
Clanfield face a trip to Lydney Town, where again the chances of the match going ahead are low.
