Oxford City’s Southern League Red Insure Cup second-round tie against Slough Town at Court Place Farm tonight is in jeopardy.
A pitch inspection will take place at midday, but with the cold snap biting even harder, City officials were yesterday pessimistic about the match going ahead.
If the game survives, defender Craig McIllwain is set to continue his comeback from injury, though midfielder Dave Savage and striker Lee Steele will be rested.
Fillipe Barcelos, who played ten minutes in Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Chippenham, and Adam Morris, who was on the bench, are also due to start.
James Dobson has been called up following some impressive displays for Oxford City Nomads.
Oxford City: from Jesionkowski, Clarke, Ashton, McIllwain, Fuller, Blossom, Lyon, Malone, Pritchard, Kington, Janes, Barcelos, Morris, Dobson.
Meanwhile, North Leigh centre back Karl Dodds faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken ankle in the 1-1 draw against Hungerford Town in Zamaretto Southern League Division 1 South & West on Saturday.
