Ann Setch struggled to speak after being named as Unsung hero of 2010.
The driving force behind Windrush Valley Amateur Boxing Club, an emotional Setch broke down in tears when her name was announced as the winner.
The club was left without a home when the floods struck in the summer of 2007.
But Setch refused to be beaten, and obtained all the necessary funding which secured a new home at Carterton Football Club.
Windrush Valley ABC has since gone on to become the fourth club in England to receive the clubmark award – because of Setch’s hard work.
“I cannot say anything,” Setch said. “It’s all too emotional.
“But I stand up here on behalf of every volunteer and every coach there is, who doesn’t get paid, but loves what they do. They are all here with me.”
