Oxford United have won the performance of the week award for their outstanding 2-1 victory at Chesterfield on Tuesday night.
The shock win over Chesterfield, who were top of League Two at the start of the game, was U’s second away win of the season And it brought them the League Managers Association’s F&C Investments Performance of the Week Award, judged by a panel comprising LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.
Boss Chris Wilder was due to receive an engraved crystal football in a presentation screened on Sky Soccer Saturday today.
