BERINSFIELD light middleweight Daley Johnson has had a dream start to his ring career with two victories in the space of a week.
He bossed his debut encounter with Dario Cianciola, from the host gym, at Bishop’s Stortford, as he forced his rival onto to the back foot from the start, landing blows to head and body throughout.
Win No 2 came at RAF Benson, where he halted Brad Bonner in the second round.
Johnson imposed two standing counts – both coming from solid right hands – during the opening session.
The 22 year-old Oxfordshire man continued to apply the pressure after the interval.
With Bonner trapped in the corner, Johnson connected with a left-right combination that pro-mpted the referee to wave it off.
Teenage bantamweight Jordan Reilly extended his unbeaten record to four wins, gaining a points victory over Rahim Kahn at Hoddesdon.
The 14 year-old Berinsfield prospect dominated the first two sessions, landing probing jabs and straight rights to the head and body.
Khan rallied in the final round, but could not claw back the deficit
