Former England and Gloucestershire wicketkeeper Jack Russell gave a masterclass to some of Oxfordshire’s youngsters at Oxford Brookes University.
Russell, who played 54 Test matches and 40 one-day internationals for England, put the players, from under 10 to under 17, through their paces with a series of exercises aimed at honing their skills.
Oxfordshire Youth head coach Darryl Woods said: “Jack’s enthusiasm really shone through, for both the players and other coaches.
“It’s not often we have a legend in our coaching set-up, but I think it’s safe to say Jack is definitely in this category.
“Jack had the county keepers working really hard, but they all had smiles on their faces at the end.”
