Mark Odom turned from zero to hero for Clanfield in their Division 1 West game on Saturday.
Odom was late arriving and so had to start the game on the bench.
It was a game for few chances. In a closely fought first half Winterbourne saw a shot strike apost.
Odom came on for Dan Bush in the second half and scored the winning goal five minutes from time, when diverting Kevin Lewis’s free-kick into the net.
Malmesbury Vics 4 (Fisher 19, Lawson 32, Field 43, 82)
Letcombe 2 (Pendell 60, Allen 90)
Letcombe produced their worst performance of the season on a glue-pot pitch, giving Malmesbury their first victory of the season.
Poor defending allowed Neil Fisher, Mike Lawson and Mark Field to give Malmesbury a three-goal interval lead.
Letcombe captain Adam Pendell, restored to his into his familiar midfield role, reduced the deficit on the hour. Malmesbury made it 4-1 with eight minutes remaining, through Field, before Tommy Allen drove in Letcombe’s seond near the end.
Easington Spts 1 (Shawyer 36)

Launton keeper Lewis Butler made a series of spectacular saves, but could not prevent the basement club falling to another defeat.
The deadlock was broke in the 36th minute when following a corner, both Butler and centre half Denny Bishop were Easington striker Greg Shawyer headed home from close range.
