Former St Helen & St Katharine student Emma Grant is on the look-out for sponsors to turn her dream of representing Great Britain in the Olympics into a reality.
Grant, 18, has been on a steep learning curve after being identifed by UK Sport Girls 4 Gold programme in 2008 as having potential.
In August, Grant competed in the Tour de L’Ardeche, one of the top races in the world.
She heads out to New Zealand for a winter of warm weather training, and will return for senior European events in a bid to gain selection for the under 23 Road World Championships.
“My lack of experience got the better of me at times this season, but 2010 was all about gaining that experience,” Grant said.
Anybody interested in sponsoring her can email her at grant@cadleys.co.uk
