Martin MacDonald made a comeback in the Jolly Anglers match fished by seven anglers at Chalmore, taking top spot with 10.11.0.
The river was coloured and had some flow, which suited Martin’s stick float and maggot tactics as he landed a couple of chub, plus roach to 1lb and dace.
Anthony Brooker was runner-up with 7.9.0 of roach up to 1.3.0 on stick float and maggot, while Phil Ansell used pole with maggot to tempt small roach and skimmers for a third-placed 4.8.0.
