North Leigh 1 (Flockton og 22)
Frome Town 2 (White 41, 73)
Michael Hopkins made a promising debut as North Leigh’s winless home run continued against Frome, who were fortunate to secure a seventh straight Division 1 South & West win.
North Leigh took the lead from a low Hopkins cross which was turned into his own net by the stretching Frome defender Dean Flockton.
The lead could have been doubled as Brian Bowles and Stuart Hole saw shots deflected wide.
Frome levelled just before the break when Darren White headed home from a corner.
The hosts went close in the second half as George Redknap had two shots blocked, while Bowles’s 30-yard shot was tipped around a post.
But then White pounced to strike the winner off the underside of the bar.
North Leigh: Lonsdale, Posey, Caton, Helby (Futcher 70), Hole, Dodds, Saunders (Burnell 56), Redknap (Hodgkins 76), Taylor, Hopkins, Bowles.
Attendance: 72.
