Reigning Division 1 champions Forum A had a week to forget as they crashed to a double defeat in the Oxford & District League.

They lost 7-3 to Vikings A and then were thumped 8-2 against Vikings B.

Gareth Hayward posted a maximum to set Vikings A on course for their win, with Mark Scott and Rob Williams chipping in with two each.

For Vikings B, there were maximums for Jingyu Sun and Alan Cherry.

Vikings C had a tremendous tussle with Forum B and came close to getting their first point, but lost 8-2.

Simon Cox came close to getting that point on his own. With the scalps of Eddie Herrity and Ross Henderson under his belt, and facing Karl Bushell at 7-7 in the decider, anything seemed possible.

In Division 2, Vikings D demolished Forum E 8-2.

Maximums came from Markus Wagner and Julian Lawton Smith.

Witney A drew 5-5 with Forum D, despite a maximum for Chris Smith.
