Oxford City boss Mike Ford has snapped up Polish under 21 international goalkeeper Jakub Jesionkowski from Swindon Town on a month's loan with a view to a permanent signing.
The 20-year-old stopper joined Swindon in August last year from Zagłębie Lubin.
He is highly-rated by Swindon, but is competing with David Lucas, Phil Smith and Mark Scott for the keeper’s shirt at the County Ground. Jesionkowski takes over in goal from Richard Barrett.
Ford said: “Richard was brought in to cover a gap we had last week at Cirencester, as we had no goalkeeper.
“We would have been quite happy to stick with him, but when I discover Jakub became available, I felt it was too good an opportunity to turn down.”
Jesionkowski will make his debut for City at home to Hemel Hempstead Town today in the Zamaretto Southern League.
