A group of Oxford United fans have been working hard to build up support to make tomorrow’s match against Alder-shot Ultimate Support Saturday.
It’s a bid to crank up the noise volume at the Kassam Stadium – and it wasn’t bad against Port Vale last weekend!
The middle two blocks of the Oxford Mail Stand are earmarked as singing sections for Ultimate Support Saturday, but everyone in the stadium can play their part and make some noise.
“In the age of all-seater stadiums, and the atmosphere at home games for many teams suffering, we at Oxford want to buck the trend,” organisers said.
“Every Oxford fan is encouraged to bring friends and family, to show them that Oxford United are back, and what a great club and fans we have.
“It’s a wear-your-colours-day, to make the stadium a sea of yellow and blue.
“But the most important thing will be to attempt to create one of the best atmospheres ever at the stadium.”
THERE’S a presentation tomorrow outlining a possible trip for Oxford United to Kenya next summer.
Supporters are invited from 1.30pm to go along to the Oxford suite in the South stand to hear more about the visit.
Next June, staff and fans will travel with up to 30 volunteers to Kenya to spend time working with local community projects in a deprived area of the Rift Valley.
