Chinnor head coach Jason Bowers says his squad are the envy of their National 3 South West rivals.
Bowers’s resources have been tested in recent weeks, but he is more than happy with his reserves as they prepare for tomorrow’s visit of Bourn-emouth.
Injuries meant wing Huw Morgan, lock Eddie Devine and fly half Sam Angell came into the squad for last week’s 31-14 defeat at Barnstaple.
Bowers said: “Hand on heart, the players that have come in from the second team have been fantastic. They have stepped up really well.
“We have a really competitive squad. I think that is probably the envy of quite a few clubs in this league.”
Wing James Serrano returns to the squad, while centre Trevor Powell is unavailable due to work commitments.
Of their injuries, Bowers said: “We have picked a few up. Hopefully none of them are too serious.
“Ben Hewitt is out for a few weeks as is Sam Stoop and various others.”
Third-placed Bournemouth have made a strong start to the season, but Chinnor will be hopeful of a home victory.
Oxford Harlequins visit Exmouth looking for a third away win to contrast with their three home defeats.
Henley Hawks make three changes to their starting line-up as they seek to bounce back at Old Albanians in National 2 South.
Kenny Sewell replaces the unavailable James Gaunt at scrum half, while props Jim Hadfield and Ant Brennan come in for Alex Penny and Rowan Fuller, who drop to the bench.
Lock Howard Parr returns as a replacement.
Old Albanians have strong links with Saracens, who use the club as a training base and ex-Sarries forward Paul Gustard is expected to face Henley.
Banbury Bulls head coach Grant Holmes had some harsh words for his players ahead of their trip to Midlands 1 West leaders Dudley Kingswinford.
Bulls lie bottom of the table after five straight defeats and will need a massive improvment to end that run at Dudley.
Holmes, who will again have to ring the changes, said: “We enjoyed the success of winning the league last year, but with that success there is responsibility.
“We all knew we were going into a tougher league where the opposition are all 20 per cent faster, fitter and stronger.
“For some of us to enter the season without putting in the hard work over the summer to become faster, fitter and stronger to cope with life in Midlands 1 was pretty irresponsible and now we are suffering for it.”
