Witney’s two-try star Jess Paterson is tackled by two Guildford players
Jess Paterson scored two tries as Witney Angels opened their South East West 2 campaign with a 22-10 defeat against Guildford Ladies at Hailey Road.
Both Paterson’s tries came in the first half to give Angels a 10-5 half-time lead.
Guildford came on strong after the break to score 17 unanswered points, but Witney were still pleased with their scrum and maul work.
Angels next host Camberley Ladies on October 17.
