Oxford's Bradley Smith secured his second successive podium finish with a third place in the 125cc race at the Grand Prix of Japan in Motegi.
Despite losing his rear mudguard in a first-bend incident, Smith was a comfortable third behind Marc Marquez and Nico Terol.
“Once again we have shown the step forward we have made,” said Smith after his fourth podium finish of the season.
“I was lucky in the first corner when my rear mudguard was ripped off and by the time we had sorted everything out Marc and Nico had disappeared at the front.”
