U’S chairman Kelvin Thomas was among the scorers as Oxford United Legends beat Oxford City Veterans 4-2 in the Steve Tavinor Benefit Match at Court Place Farm yesterday.
Chris Allen bagged a brace for the United Legends with Mark West also netting in the game in aid of former Oxford United defender Tavinor, who suffered a serious leg injury in an accident at work last year.
Wayne Holden and Andy Thomas were on target with the City goals in front of a crowd of around 200 supporters.
