Zamaretto Southern League
Abingdon Utd 1, Almondsbury Tn 2
Abingdon United slumped to their third defeat in a row in Division 1 South & West.
They fell behind when Ross Stearn converted a penalty after a handball in the box.
Abingdon slowly pulled themselves back into the game.
And they were deservedly level six minutes before the break when Steve Davis sprinted into the area, before letting fly into the net.
Early in the second half, Jon Mills saw an effort blocked, while Tom Melledew was denied by a smart save from Almondsbury keeper Lee Matthews.
Billy Beechers then fired a piledrvier from 25 yards just wide of the left-hand post.
But with nine minutes left, the visitors went back in front.
Stearn got around the back of the Abingdon defence and his ball in found Michael Whittington, who made no mistake as he headed home.
In the dying seconds, Beechers saw another effort fly just wide, and the visitors held on for the points.
