Witney Utd 1, Ardley Utd 3
ARDLEY United stretched their lead at the top of the Premier Division to four points after a comprehensive win at struggling Witney United on Saturday.
Despite enjoying all the early possession, Ardley fell behind when Jack Lonsdale slid the ball past keeper Kurt Fox.
The visitors were awarded a dubious penalty seven minutes later, but Paul Tassell saved Murray Nicholls’s kick.
Ardley pulled level when Nicholls passed to Stuart Bridges and his cross left Lewis Travers with the simple task of heading home.
After the break, Ben Milner fired the visitors in front, and the result was put beyond doubt three minutes from time when Troy Bryan fired past Tassell.
Abingdon Tn 2, Wokingham & Emmbrook 2
ABINGDON Town were denied victory by a late strike as they were held to a draw by Wokingham & Emmbrook.
Town took the lead through Niall Hodgkins from close range on the stroke of half-time, only for Wokingham to level 11 minutes after the break through David Bellis.
With four minutes left, Sam Gordon headed home a great cross from Kieron Davis, but Wokingham had the final say when Sam Duffelen levelled a minute from time.
Headington Amateurs 2, Cheltenham Saracens 1
HEADINGTON Amateurs made it eight wins in a row in Division 1 West, coming from behind to beat Cheltenham Saracens.
Saracens’ Mike Rhodes took advantage of hesitation in the home defence to slot home in the first minute.
Responding almost immediately, Luke Cuff saw a shot rebound of a post, before Aaron Williams slotted home the equaliser.
In the second half, Cuff curled an effort wide and saw another hacked off the line.
But Headington weren’t to be denied and snatched the winner when Cuff superbly lobbed Betteridge from 40 yards.
Launton Sports 0, Easington Sports 0
LAUNTON Sports picked up their point of the season with a goalless draw.
Home keeper Lewis Butler was the star, making key saves from Easington’s Alex Feaver in the first half and Craig Shawyer in the second.
