THE prolific Linear Fisheries has produced two more crackers for Oxfordshire father and son Phil and Shaun Warwick.
Fishing a three-day session on Brasenose 1 lake, they both recorded personal bests.
Phil, 44, from Berinsfield, caught a mirror of 32.0.0, while Shaun, 19, had another of 27.0.0.
Both fish took hair-rigged Cell boilies.
Phil’s fish bettered his previous pb of 31.4.0, caught from Oxlease Lake at the Stanton Harcourt fishery earlier in the summer.
- I WAS sorry to read in one of the weekly angling papers that the Coarse Fisherman magazine is folding after being in circulation for around 35 years.
I used to get a copy every month and found some of the articles very interesting. For a time it was rated as one of the best of its kind.
Nowadays there is so much information available on the internet that magazines are struggling to compete.
- CHESHIRE carper Danny Caen smashed his personal best carp by 10lb when he slipped his net under a 42.4.0 common from an unnamed Oxfordshire pit.
He targeted a clear area around 60 yards out near a weed bed. The big common took a Carp Company Icelandic Red 16mm boilie attached to a size 5 ESP Raptor hook.
