Oxford City Stars face a stern test of their credentials with a tough double header in South Division 1 this weekend.
Today, Stars travel to Wales to take on Cardiff Devils for the second time this season.
Their first meeting with Devils last month ended in a thrilling 5-5 draw, although Stars were disappointed not to have won.
Devils are a tough nut to crack on their own ice, but Oxford will be at full strength as they welcome back both Wayne Fiddes and Josh Oli-ver.
Stars are back home tomorrow when Chelmsford Chieftains visit Oxpens Road.
It will be only the second game of the season for the Essex outfit as their rink is closed for some repair work.
So Stars will be hoping a lack of match fitness will hamper Chelmsford.
After a certain amount of indiscipline in last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Invicta Dynamos, when Grant Bailey was given a five-minute major penalty, Stars head coach Ken Forshee will be keen to see his side stay out of the penalty box for what is likely to be the toughest weekend of the season so far.
In South Division 2, Oxford City Stars 2nd will look to maintain their winning form when they travel to title favourites Slough.
