Oxford City Veterans will host Oxford United Legends in a benefit match for Steve Tavinor on Sunday.
The former Oxford United defender, who has also played centre half for Witney Town, suffered a serious leg injury in an accident at work last year.
The proceeds of the match will be given to Tavinor as he continues his recovery.
The match kicks off at 2.30pm at Oxford City’s Court Place Farm stadium.
Already confirmed in the Oxford United Legends side are Chris Allen, Mickey Lewis, U’s boss Chris Wilder, Joey Beauchamp, Les Robinson, Les Taylor, Anton Rogan, Andy Melville and Paul Powell.
Then at 6pm after the match, there will be an auction in the clubhouse.
There will also be a crossbar challenge taking place at half-time where the entry fee is £1.
Admission on the day is £5 for adults, £2.50 for concessions and free for children.
City manager Mike Ford, who was at Oxford United when Tavinor was an apprentice said: “It’s terrible what happened to him, but hopefully we can make a difference.”
