The Oxfordshire Mind charity are teaming up with Oxford United to present a ‘1 in 4’ legged race across the Kassam Stadium pitch at half-time at their home match against Aldershot Town next week.
One in four people suffer from a mental health problem at some point in their lives, and this event aims to spread the word in Oxfordshire, raising mental health awareness.
The Time to Get Moving campaign is about bringing people together to engage in physical activity and challenge the stigma about mental health.
It is part of the Time to Change initiative.
Next Saturday, the four-legged race will be for supporters of Mind.
But if anyone else fancies running, there are spaces still available.
Local businesses, groups, friends and supporters are invited to enter a team of three, and run the length of the pitch four-legged, cheered on by a crowd of over 6,000 fans.
Those interested should contact the club.
