Eddie Pepperell today represents the English Golf Union (EGU) in the Egyptian Amateur Championship at Katameya Heights.
The Drayton Park member teams up with Jack Senior (Heysham, Lancashire) in the 54-hole strokeplay event, which finishes on Saturday.
CHIPPING Norton will play Bicester in the Oxfordshire Junior League final after winning the North Division for a third year running.
The teams will clash at Kirtlington on October 17 as Chippy target a third straight county title.
Charles Rose (captain), George Kay (vice captain), Chris Dyer, Richard Whiston, Will Preece, Jordan Tew, Imogen Vessey and Alex Pitts have all appeared for Chippy this year.
Meanwhile, Preece was crowned the club’s junior champion after defeating Chris Dyer and George Kay.
Alex Pitts took the handicap title from Nicole Howlett.
CHIPPING Norton have won Division 1 of the Central Sevens League for the first time.
THE highlight of Oxford City’s finals day saw past captain Brian Hamilton eventually overcome Don Portman at the fifth extra hole to win the George Butler Bowl for seniors.
