LAUREN Hawtin (pictured) led Oxford City’s Under 17 women’s team to eighth out of 31 teamin the Southern Area Road Relays.
Hawtin clocked 10mins 50secs on the first leg of the relay to finished seventh in her leg and 12th in her age category.
Jade Walker ran the second leg in 11.39 with Rebecca Byren securing eighth by clocking 11.42 on leg three.
In the under 15 girls’ relay, City finished 25th out of 53 teams.
Beth Hawtin on the first leg, clocked 11.07 for seventh, before City dropped back to 16th after Elissa Clarke’s 12.26 on leg two.
Mya Walker recorded 13.05 on the anchor leg as City lost a further nine places to finish 25th.
In the other junior races, City failed to field full teams, although there were a number of notable individual performances.
Pride of place went to Matthieu Marshall, who clocked the eighth fastest time of the day in the under 15 boys’ race (9.47).

Under 15 boys: O Huxley 12.17.
Under 13 girls: B Mulvany 9.52, E Evans 9.26.
Senior women: M Hawtin 13.58.
Under 17 women: E Burns 12.42.
