OXFORD took a giant step towards a place in the Inter Area Cup final with a 4-1 victory at Wycombe B in the last four, writes PETE EWINS.
Stuart Florey scored 5,120 to win the opening game against the break, before Steven Sheard (7,560) and his Kennington teammate Mark Trafford (7,920) made it 3-0.
Wycombe pulled one back, but Kevin Godfrey then racked up 8,030 to clinch victory.
Oxford take a 29,140-18,170 aggregate for the return leg at the Gladiators Club.
In the Inter Area C team competition, Oxford Ladies won their return leg at Witney C 4-1 to secure a 9-1 aggregate victory.
Mellissa Stanbridge (3,830-2,490), Pauline Withey (4,330-2,850) and Sue Atkins (3,620-1,160) took the first three games.
Witney prevented a whitewash before Sandra Tebby sealed the win.
