Oxford's poor start continued with a 57-12 defeat at home to Windsor.
The hosts scored tries through Alex Jenks and Paul Arthur, with John Derrick kicking a conversion.
Grove received a walkover from Chipping Norton, who were unable to provide sufficient front-row players.
The result gave Grove a maximum five points and left Chippy bottom of the table.
Chippy director of rugby Andy Dawson said: “We just didn’t have a front row. I had one prop and two hookers.
“I spoke to Grove and offered to play our Oxfordshire Cup match as a double-header, but they didn’t want to know.
“One of our props, Lee Tustin, was on honeymoon, and we had a couple of lads going back to university.
“We are desperately short. We had a lot of players retire this year and then picked up a lot of injuries. The second team played, but they were uncontested scrums.
“I’m sure we’ll be back in action this week.”
Any potential front-row players can contact Dawson on 07808 590415.
