CHLOE Palmer, Casey Duignan and Rachel Willett led the way as Abingdon Gymnastics Club’s 13-strong team picked up 22 golds in the Bucks Open Artistic Championships at Milton Keynes.

Palmer came away with five gold medals in the senior section of level four.

Duignan, nine, took gold at level four out-of-age in the vault and floor, scoring 11.70 and 12.60 respectively.

She also won silver on the beam with a score of 12.20.

Her successes earned her the title of level four out-of-age champion.

Rose Rooney was first overall in the in-age section, also taking home gold on beam and floor and silver on vault.

Willett, competing at level two, brought home five golds, despite a knee injury.

Kerry Underwood and Charlotte Atkinson shone at level five.

Underwood was second overall, also taking the gold medals on bars and floor.

Atkinson won the silver on beam and bronze on bars.

In the level 3 section, Vicky Jones, Abbie Rawlings and Rosie Isom battled for the overall title which went to Jones, who completed her set with gold on the floor, silver on vault and bronze on beam Isom came away with gold on beam and vault, while Rawlings collected silver on beam and floor and bronze on vault.

In addition to 22 golds, Abingdon won eight silvers and five bronzes.
