Oxford City Stars remain top of English National League South Division 1 after a victory and a draw in their double-header.
Stars beat Bristol 5-1, before a day later sharing the spoils in a thrilling 5-5 draw against Cardiff Devils.
Darren Elliott hit a stunning hat-trick against Bristol.
Mike Whillock fired Stars ahead, before Elliott doubled the lead as the visitors ended the first period 2-0 ahead.
Bristol reduced the deficit when former Oxford player Alan Armour netted four minutes into the second period.
Josh Oliver restored the two-goal advantage, before a mass brawl saw ex-Stars coach Richie Hargreaves dismissed for Bristol, with Oxford’s Dale White joining him.
When play did resume, Elliott made it 4-1, before completing his hat-trick in the final period.
Against Cardiff, Stars conceded a last-minute goal having led 4-1 at the start of the final period.
Joe Edwards (2), Gareth Endicott (2) and Dax Hedges scored, with Robert Sedlack Tim Burrows, Steve Maile, Luke Piggot and Ricky Deacon earning Cardiff a point.
OXFORD’S South Division 2 side lost 5-2 to Basingstoke Buffalo.
