Lewis Collins scored a hat-trick of tries in Witney’s 42-18 victory at Buckingham.

The visitors went behind to a 17th-minute penalty, but hit back when flanker Carl Cambell dived over and full back Ed Mitcham converted.

Collins ran in his first try on 22 minutes and his second just before half time.

Buckingham replied with a 43rd-minute try.

Collins broke four tackles to complete his hat-trick, Mitcham converting.

Witney wing James Monks was sin-binned and another home try made it 24-13, but lock Marc Copperwheat scored for Witney.

Buckingham bagged as third try and Witney No 8 Joe Rowles was yellow-carded.

But two Mitcham penalties and replacement Aaron Lambourne’s try sealed it.

Wallingford lost 24-12 at home to Bletchley.

Wing Ralph Smith missed a penalty, while flanker Matt Chapman was sin-binned.

Bletchley took the lead with from a catch-and-drive try, which they converted.

A second try made it 12-0, although they had a player yellow-carded for tripping.

Wallingford hit back when Anthony Marris powered over, Smith converting.

Wallingford levelled thr-ough flanker Luke Best after Bletchley had a man sin-binned, but the visitors sealed the points with two more tries and a conversion.
