Abingdon had a good chance early on when John Mills’s thumping drive was blocked by keeper Alan Walker-Harris.
Jon Gardner then saw his effort smothered by Walker-Harris.
Abingdon keeper Jon Beames saved Kevin James’s chip, which was heading for the top corner, before Walker-Harris tipped over another Gardner effort.
The game came alive in the second period and Wimborne’s Matt Groves was denied by a post.
Abingdon hit back, and Mills’s shot from an acute angle was blocked by Walker-Harris.
Gardner then came to Abingdon’s rescue with a last-ditch tackle after a low cross beat Beames.
Steve Davis saw his inswinging corner tipped over the bar by Walker-Harris, while Mark Smith sent an effort inches over the Abingdon bar.
John McMahon was denied by a flying save from Walker-Harris in the dying minutes as the game ended in stalemate.
