OCA Divisions 4-8

Division 4 champions Chadlington finished their campaign in style, thumping runners-up Winslow Town by eight wickets.

Winslow were shot out for a paltry 50, Martin Shepherd taking 3-7.

Chadlington then eased home at 55-2 off just 9.3 overs.

Charlbury 2nd were relegated after they lost by 25 runs against Oxford Rescue.

Dean Clark hit 85 in Rescue’s 185-8, then Charlbury fell to 160 all out, despite 55 from Charlie Sinton.

Bernard Tyler smashed a ton to help Britwell Salome to a 141-run win at Brill.

Britwell amassed 229-4, then Brill were shot out for 88.

In Division 6, Wantage secured the second promotion spot after a nervy six-run win over Dorchester.

Wantage were skittled for just 104, as Lawrence Belcher and Steve McComb took four wickets apiece.

In reply, Dorchester were bowled out for 98, Barry Martin taking 4-24.

Westbury 2nd were relegated from Division 7, despite a nine-wicket victory over Stonesfield 2nd.

Darren Gascoigne took 5-15 as Stonesfield were dismissed for 91.

Charlie Harper and Dan Hopkins both hit 34 not out to see Westbury home.

Their victory was in vain as Hanney beat Marsh Gibbon 2nd by five wickets to secure their survival.

James Thomson and Douglas Hilliam claimed three wickets each as Marsh Gibbon were bowled out for 82.

Jon Allen’s 32 not out then led Hanney to 83-5.

In Division 8, Steventon’s tough season drew to a close with a crushing 79-run win over Combe 2nd.

Toby Shellard scored 100 in Steventon’s 268-5, then Step-hen Boag took 4-49 as Combe were restricted to 189-7.

Sunningwell thrashed Marcham 2nd by 154 runs.

Adam Duffield (61) and Pete Thwaites (40) helped Sunningwell to 235 all out.

Marcham fell for 81 as Paul Wiggins (3-15) and Anthony Harris (3-28) shone with the ball.
