Leighton Buzzard thrashed Bourton Vale by 89 runs to clinch the Derek Primett Memorial Cup on Saturday.
In a one-sided final played at Horspath, Leighton Buzzard batted first and posted a solid total of 211-7, thanks to Chris Thompson’s 58 and 34 from all-rounder Dan Scott.
Skipper Paul Lazenbury (3-30) was the pick of the Vale attack.
But Lazenbury could not inspire his side to make much of the run chase as Lee Selfe (3-33) helped reduce them to 122 all out.
The cup triumph comes on the back of Buzzard winning promotion to the top flight, having finished as runners-up to Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts in Division 2.
