Ardley Utd 3 (Richmond 9, Bone 19, Travers 30) (Match abandoned 31 mins)
Abingdon Town’s Premier Division match against Ardley United was abandoned after 31 minutes after home goalkeeper Gareth Walker suffered a broken leg.
Walker seemed to catch his studs in the turf, causing him to break his left leg in two places when trying to stop Lewis Travers scoring Ardley’s third goal on the half hour.
After a delay of more than an hour, waiting for an ambulance and treatment on the pitch, the match was abandoned.
Mid-table visitors Ardley were well on top when the game was stopped with Travers adding to earlier efforts from Adam Richmond and Danny Bone.
Wantage Tn 3 (Cattell 3, Claydon 80, 85)
Shortwood Utd 1 (Evans 87)
Richie Claydon’s late brace sealed Wantage Town’s victory against Shortwood United at Alfredian Park.
The home side got off to a flying start when Stuart Cattell stabbed the ball over the line after Tom Butler’s free-kick eluded the Shortwood defence.
But Wantage had to wait until the last ten minutes before they secured the points.
Claydon curled a free-kick around the Shortwood wall and into the top corner to make it 2-0, before finishing coolly after substitute Adam Bruce’s shot rebounded to him.
Shortwood pulled one back in the closing minutes when Rich Evans tucked away a shot past Gareth Tucker.
