Matt Taylor is following in his brother Jack’s footsteps this week after making his debut for Gloucestershire 2nd.
The 16-year-old all-rounder, from Great & Little Tew, appeared against Glamorgan 2nd at Bristol – a week after Jack’s first-class debut against Derbyshire.
- OXFORDSHIRE completed their ECB Women’s County Championship Division 5 East campaign with an agonising three-wicket loss against Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire at Oxford Downs.
In a rain-reduced 32-over match, Oxon closed on a below-par 102-9, Genny Porter top-scoring on 24, with support from Megan Burton (19) and Emilia Bartram (17).
Cambridge squeeked home with three balls left, Bridget-Rhodes Moore claiming 2-17.
- THE Oxfordshire Association of Cricket Officials are holding a Level 1 umpires course at Tiddington CC.
Run over three Saturdays from February 12-26, 2011, the course costs £55, including association membership, insurance and refreshments.
