MP Sports Cherwell League - Derek Primett Cup
Banbury Twenty slipped to an 18-run defeat at home to fellow Division 2 side Leighton Buzzard Town in the semi-finals on Sunday.
Leighton made 188-8 after electing to bat first in a match reduced to 27 overs-a-side.
James Bishop and Antony Francis both scored 35 before Jack Kempster (40no) injected some impetus at the end of the innings.
James Soppet (3-31) was the pick of the attack for Twenty, who looked set for victory while John Wright (56) was teeing off.
But wickets fell at regular intervals and the hosts came up short on 170-8.
Holders Bourton Vale prevailed in the other semi, easily chasing down the 167 all out set by Bletchley Town.
Skipper Paul Lazenbury took 3-47 and then hit an unbeaten 42 for Bourton, joining in an unbroken fourth-wicket stand with Graham Newhook (77no) as his side enjoyed a comfortable seven-wicket victory.
The final will be played on Sunday at Horspath CC, starting at 1pm.
