Florence Park Community Centre A are the ODAA Summer League Premier champions for the first time after they avenged last week’s defeat against Nuffield Bar.

Clare Bywaters gave Park an early lead when she beat Cindy Chalmers.

The visitors levelled when Pat Newman beat Carol Harwood, but wins from Tina Hamilton, Angie Pointin and Michelle Ewins gave the home side a 4-1 lead.

And although Nuffield pulled one back, after Hazel Prowton beat Jo Gleed, Florence Park won the pairs 3-0 for a convincing 7-2 success.

Florence Park CC B look to be on course for the Section 1 title after a 6-3 win over East Oxford Con Club, which leaves them 14 points ahead of Team Berry.

Unbeaten Men’s League Premier leaders Rileys Social Club C are on the verge of retaining their title after a 6-3 win over Bicester Town FC.

The home side were given a good start when the current singles champion, Phil Addison (180) beat Pete Fisher 3-2.

The visitors levelled with a top-class win for Joe Palmer over Pete Hall – Palmer hitting two maximums – but Ade Larner restored the home side’s advantage when he beat Andy Thomas.

Dave Buckingham beat Aaran Lennon 3-1 to level the scores, but Rileys hit back to lead 4-2 with wins from Jon Jukes (180) and Stuart Dutton.

They increased this to 6-3 with a 2-1 pairs triumph, and they now need just two points from their remaining two games to seal the title.

Section 1’s top-of-the-table clash saw leaders Angel go down 5-4 to second-placed Rileys Social Club A.

Tony Allday’s win over Kevin Middleton (180) gave Rileys the lead, and Kit Young levelled when he defeated James Harding.

Rileys then took control and wins from Simon Tricker, Steve Skelton, Tony Barrett and Sean Holly gave them a 5-1 lead, but the Angel then notched a 3-0 pairs win.

Section 1 Peachcroft SC beat Premier side Shears 6-3 after amassing a 5-0 lead with wins from Mark Breakspear, Barry Radford, Paul Champ, Les Radford (180) and Rob Cook.
