Windsor & Eton 1
(Chennels 18)
Didcot Tn 2
(Bartley 8, 28)
Michael Bartley’s first-half double earned Didcot Town a deserved victory at promoted Windsor & Eton in the Zamaretto Southern League Premier Division yesterday.
Bartley bundled home at the far post to give Didcot the lead after Andy Gunn had headed Alex Stanley’s cross into the six-yard box.
Richard Witt then crashed a header onto the bar.
Michael Chennels capitalised on a handling error from Didcot keeper Sam Warrell to level for the Royals.
But Bartley grabbed the winner before the half-hour when he forced home an Elliot Osborne-Ricketts corner.
Didcot Tn: Warrell, Dutton-Black, M Williams, A Williams, Stanley, Gunn, Witt (Mortimer-Jones 82), Alexis, Bartley (Huggins 90), Osborne-Ricketts (Draycott 75), Heapy.
