NICK Tweed took all ten wickets as Great Brickhill closed in on the Division 3 title and effectively ended Dinton 2nd’s promotion challenge.

Brickhill were shot out for 93, with Kelvin Burrows taking 3-7 and Mike Morgan 3-30.

Tweed then went through the card to finish with 10-24 as Dinton were all out for 69.

Brickhill will be champions if they beat Hanborough this weekend.

l Dinton 2nd 5pts, Great Brickhill 25 Aston Rowant 2nd are on course to finish second, but were given a fright by lowly Oxford 3rd.

Chetan Walia took 7-55 as Rowant were rumbled for 135, skipper Dave Ridgely left stranded on 40 not out.

But Oxford fell for just 93, Sam Shepheard taking 4-22 and Ryan Dutton 3-23.

l Oxford 3rd 5, Aston Rowant 2nd 25 Oxford Downs 2nd must win at Witney Mills and hope Rowant fail to beat Bledlow Village if they are to go up.

On Saturday they easily beat Kingston Bagpuize as Will Sandbach (46), Steve Roberts (45), Noel Pearson (43) and Ian Caunce (31) piled on the runs in Downs’ 244 all out.

Dave Pearce took 5-86 for Bagpuize, who were then out for 142 as only Martin Shepherd (41) threatened.

l Ox Downs 2nd 25, K Bagpuize 6 Darren Gordon took 5-10 and Andy Claridge 5-35 as Witney Mills blasted out Bledlow Village for only 99.

Mills edged their way to 100-4 in the 42nd over.

l Bledlow Village 4, Witney Mills 25 Ben Keeping (7-32) was too good for Hanborough’s batsmen as the home side were bowled out by Bledlow Ridge for 98.

Only Will Potter (31) held up the visitors for long.

Earlier Ridge had managed 197, Mike Dove took 3-31 and Aaron Hobley 3-49.
