Truro City 2 (Watkins 18, Adams 82) Oxford City 1 (Sandy 68)
Oxford City are still hunting their first win of the season in the Premier Division after returning from their trip to Cornwall empty-handed.
But they would have had a point, but Dan Holman’s header went just over the bar.
City were given a boost before the game when striker Mark Janes rejected a move to league rivals Didcot Town.
Truro were in the ascendancy early on, with Richard Knight in the City goal making a save from former Forest Green Rovers winger Les Afful.
However, Knight had no chance when Andrew Watkins fired Truro ahead midway through the half with a scorching shot.
After the break, Knight denied Dan Smith, before Elliot Sandy equalised after a goalmouth scramble.
City turned up the pressure, only for Steve Adams to head in the winner from Andy Taylor’s corner.
Late on, City almost snatched a late leveller, but Holman’s flying header from Sandy’s cross went over.
Oxford City: Knight, Mills, Kinch, Savage, Clarke, Hector (Ashton 45), Beechers (Holman 57), Malone, Faulkner (Janes 45), Sandy, Harding.
Attendance: 371
