Oxford City & County’s Gill Blackmore, Mick Charlett and Nigel Wharton triumphed in the mixed triples at Abingdon’s annual open gala day, sponsored by S&R Childs, Independent Funeral Services.
They won four of their five games to pip clubmates Pat Strange, Jan Gore and Paul Demczak, who won three matches and drew one.
Hagbourne’s Gloria Smith, Joe Smith and Bob Barnard were third, with Abingdon’s Ron Turnbull, Ann Miles and Dave Sims fourth.
