Oxfordshire champion Katherine O’Connor has been named in the Welsh team for next month’s Ladies Home Internationals.
The Tadmarton Heath member will look to help Wales seal a third straight crown at Whitchurch, near Cardiff from September 8-10.
She made her debut in the comeptition in 2006 when it was played at Frilford Heath.
O’Connor and Tilly Magill (Woburn) were Oxfordshire’s sole representatives in the British Ladies’ Strokeplay Championships at Tenby – and the pair were drawn together.
Bad weather reduced the event from four rounds to three and O’Connor finished one shot off the cut with scores of 80 and 80 placing her 43rd.
Magill shot 79 and 83 to finish two shots behind in 50th.
- GEMMA Clements won the best morning round prize in the Midlands South Girls Championship at Northamptonshire County.
The Studley Wood member carded a 79.
