Oxford City’s Nathan Douglas and Hannah England have been selected by England for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi from October 3-14.
Douglas, 27, goes again in the triple jump, despite struggling to find his best form this season after an injury-interrupted campaign.
And England, 23, will run in the 1500m – the event in which she is the reigning UK champion.
Competing for Great Britain & North Ireland, the pair reached their respective finals at the recent European Championships in Barcelona before finding the competition too hot, both finishing tenth.
England enjoyed greater success earlier in the season, finishing second for GB in the European Team Championships in Bergen, Norway.
She is joined in the team by Lisa Dobriskey, who was fourth in Barcelona, and Helen Clitheroe.
Douglas’s triple jump teammates are reigning Commonwealth champion Phillips Idowu, who also struck gold in Barcelona, having won the world title last year, and Larry Achike.
