KEITH Arnold marked his first appearance for Oxfordshire Over 50s with five wickets in their 119-run quarter-final victory over Hampshire at Oxford Downs yesterday.
The county’s all-time leading wicket-taker, who said he would not play for the over 50s until he had retired from the full county side, claimed 5-17 off 8.3 overs.
Oxfordshire won the toss and despite losing early wickets, reached 215-7 thanks in the main to Malcolm Evans (55) and Micky Thomas (30no).
In reply, Arnold took three quick wickets, before coming back to clean up the tail.
Oxon will now be at home in the semi-final, with opponents and venue still to be finalised.
