Bashley 1 (Gamble 11) Didcot Tn 1 (Heapy 29)
Jamie Heapy’s equaliser earned Didcot Town their first point of the season in a Premier Division draw at Bashley.
Heapy fired into the roof of the net from 15 yards after exchanging passes with Josh Dutton-Black on 29 minutes.
The home side only looked a threat in the opening 15 minutes, and in that short time they went in front in controversial circumstances.
Bashley striker Mark Gamble clearly tugged back Didcot defender Andy Gunn, but was allowed to race clear and shoot past Sam Warrell, despite long protests.
Elliott Osborne-Ricketts and Gunn hit the woodwork before Heapy equalised.
And Didcot had three great chances to take victory in the second half, with Mark Draycott, Michael Hopkins and Morgan Williams unable to take their opportunities.
Didcot Tn: Warrell, Dutton-Black, Hopkins, A Williams, Stanley, Gunn, Witt, Heapy, Draycott, Mortimer-Jones, Osborne-Ricketts.
