Witney's Will Macke came up against red-hot competition in the National Youth Track Omnium Final at the Manchester Velodrome.
The 15-year-old, from Wood Green School, finished 18th in the 25-strong field.
He took part in the 1km time trial, scratch, keiran, and a points race.
Earlier in the day, Macke and his Palmer Park Velo Reading teammate Harry Strudley finished sixth in the madison over 20k - 80 laps of the circuit.
Macke has been enjoying an excellent year.
He stands first in the Monday night track B League at Palmer Park where he rides up a category against the men.
He also won the Calshot Winter League, and has been selected for the Sainsbury’s UK School Games in Newcastle from September 2-5, and an inter-region competition at Newport, Wales.
