Former Oxford United captain Les Robinson continued his winning streak at Tadmarton Heath by scooping the Banbury Town Cup Open Competition with a nett 65 ahead of Barry Warmsley, John Perry (both 66) and Phil Hackett (67).
The best gross score of the day came from Les’s son, Liam, with a 71 winning on countback from 2007 club champion Mark Wolton.
Both the Robinsons have been in tremendous form recently after finishing first and second in the Pro’s Day competition at the end of July.
Liam, who came second in the Berks Bucks & Oxon Championship in earlier this month, is one of the favourites for Club Championship which takes place over 36 holes on the last weekend of August.
