Oxford A took a commanding 4-1 victory in the first leg of their Inter-Area Cup third round tie against Eynsham A at the Gladiators Club.
Skipper Kevin Godfrey knocked up two 7,000 breaks in his score of 15,100 as Oxford took the opening game.
Eynsham’s Mike Jones then made it 1-1 with a 6,690-3,640 victory over Alan Oliver.
However, Oxford took the remaining three legs to take control of the match.
Mark Trafford beat Bob Allsworth 12,689-2,310, including a break of just over 10,000.
Steven Sheard hit a break of 13,000 in his 13,740-2,400 win over against Sean Stratford, before Dave Tooke made it 4-1 with a 3,780-1,220 success over Ian Moss.
The return leg will take place at the Vikings Club on Monday, August 23.
