Abingdon United’s new boss, Richie Bourne is looking for his players to keep up the good work when they host North Leigh in Tuesday's Division 1 South & West derby.

Bourne marked his first game in charge with a 3-0 opening day win at Bridgwater, but he is not getting carried away.

“I could not have wished for a better start,” said Bourne, whose side had to cope with the dismissal of Chris Harper ten minutes from time for foul language.

“The win was a nice moment, but you celebrate on the Saturday night and then you get ready for the next game which will be a hard local derby.

“I know North Leigh have a few back and they have a few injuries, so hopefully we can take advantage.”

Meanwhile, Bourne said he had no problems with Harper’s red card.

“It was a silly sending off, but he apologised to his teammates and will learn from his mistake,” he added.

Sam Elkins is unavailable, while Steve Davis (ankle) is a slight doubt.

North Leigh manager Mark Gee said: “Never mind a derby, the last thing I want right now is a game with all our injuries.

“It doesn’t matter what game it is, we will put in a performance.

“Richie has done well. But it’s where you finish in April that matters.”

Ben Reardon returns from a broken toe.

But North Leigh are without Andy McCabe (concussion), Karl Dodds (honeymoon), Mark Dennis (thigh) and Toby Clarke (holiday).

Oxford City boss Mike Ford wants his side to be more clinical up front starting with the visit to Chesham United in the Premier Division.

City missed a host of chances as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bedford Town on Saturday.

“If we had been better with our finishing we would have won the game,” he said.

City will be without centre half Craig McIllwain, who injured a hamstring just seven minutes into his debut.

Jack Ashton and Billy Beechers are added to the squad.

Banbury United manager Billy Jeffrey has warned his side to expect a tough battle at home to Hednesford.

Jeffrey, whose side drew 1-1 away to Cirencester at the weekend, says they will be one of the teams to watch.

“Although their two main strikers have moved to other clubs, they have signed Mark Bellingham from Leamington, who always gets goals (he scored 48 last season),” he said. “So he’s a real handful. But there’s not just him, they have other good players.”

Didcot Town could be without Sam Warrell when they travel to Stourbridge.

The keeper suffered a cut head in an accidental collision in the 2-1 defeat by Evesham on Saturday.
