A fine half-century from James Palmer helped Oxfordshire to a six-wicket win away to Herefordshire.
The home side opted to bat first and extras were the order of the day.
They reached 37 in seven overs, with only six runs coming from the bat!
Captain Aswan Ahmed brought some control with his leg-spin, his eight overs going for only 25 runs, while Ben Smith took 3-22 from seven overs.
Herefordshire closed on 143-9 from their 40 overs.
Palmer led Oxon’s reply with a superb 61.
He shared 67 for the first wicket with Alex Anderson (29) to put Oxon into a good position.
Another good partnership of 49 between Will Hawtin and Palmer saw Oxon to the brink of victory.
When Palmer and Hawtin both fell in quick succession, it was left to Ben Roberts and William Polito to knock off the runs to wrap up victory.
